If you only heard me cheer when I realized that my book Catching Waves: A Board, a Pig, and How a Little Girl Became a Wakesurf Champion won FIRST PLACE!

I opened an email that had been hanging out in my promotion inbox. It had a first place digital seal attached, but I wasn’t sure until I read the documents that listed the winners. Then, I saw it! Catching Waves was the FIRST PLACE WINNER in Story Monster’s Royal Dragonfly book contest!
